for a brief history, in case you have never heard of him;;
ridley came out with his first album "blam". it was a mix of country and rap. the rap part is mentioned because if i JUST said country, it wouldnt fit. it has the amazinggggg rhyming aspect of rap in there.
anyways. i listen to that album all the time.
OLD SONG--[link]
I would have gotten a better video, however, there is barely ANY from his first album.
here is another one, little bit of a softer song. kinda. [link]
however, in the last few years, he came out with his second album "buckles and boots" (or something crappy like that), and he has completly (no joke) changed his sound and style. he obliterated any of that deep voiced, rap rhyming scheming, talking-about-BC-weed stuff. it was gone.

ANYWAYS. END OF HISTORY LESSON, KIDS.
Basically, I went to see him this evening.
I wasn't expecting him to play anything from his old album, but he did.
HOWEVER. UGH. ERGH. BLARGHH. He played the songs, same words. But he changed the chorus's ... word spacing? Like the words were in the right order, but the pauses were in different places. Why? Because that way, it sounded more country (like how he is now) and less like how he used to be. Applying to a greater audience, and pleasing the new fans. UGH.
WHAT ABOUT US OLD FANS? DX
I was like... I KNEW the song, but if I tried to sing it how I KNEW IT, I would get screwed over because he revamped them all.
WTHECK RIDLEY. :/
